9/11 Monument Dedication

NewHydePark_WebLogobOn Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m., the Village of New Hyde Park Fire Department will hold a dedication ceremony for its 9/11 monument.
The ceremony will be held at fire department headquarters at 1555 Jericho Tpke.
Fire department officials said the monument is being dedicated for the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The monument, officials added, will be dedicated to the both memory of those members of the New Hyde Park community and the fire department who perished on Sept. 11, 2001, as well as those “whose passing is a result of an injury or illness sustained while selflessly dedicating themselves to the rescue, recovery and restoration efforts at the World Trade Center.”
