Cavallaro Raises Quarter Of A Million For Charity


Chris_06116ANew Hyde Park resident Chris Cavallaro helped to raise a total of $82,000 for the National Kidney Foundation’s Long Island Kidney Walk held in East Meadow on Sunday, May 22. This brings his all-time total raised for the LI Kidney Walk to $258,241.
Cavallaro, a kidney donor himself, currently serves as a local board member for the foundation and has served as chairman for the walk for five years. The 2016 Long Island walk was his swan song, his fifth and final year as chairman of the walk. Walkers at the event wrote notes of thanks and congratulations on the swan pictured above to commemorate his final event.
